Royal Ascot 2016 and Soher’s bronze horses

This week, the most famous horse riding meeting is celebrated in London: Royal Ascot. An event which we have always passionately followed at Soher.

Royal Ascot is one of the world’s most popular equestrian events. It takes place at Ascot racecourse, in Berkshire, only 6 miles away from Windsor Castle, property of the English Crown. There, only thoroughbreds can compete.

The most popular races which have given the event its renowned reputation in the horse riding world will take place from Tuesday the 14th to Saturday the 18th. Those are: Royal Meeting, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes and Ascot Gold Cup,  the week’s finale on Saturday.

Royal Ascot is also known for the quaint, however elegant, wide-brimmed sun hats show by their attendants. A custom which appears on magazine covers in fashion press releases every year.

Soher’s bronze horses, a tribute to nobility

It is precisely the love for the horses which inspired our artisans when we designed these figures which extol the greatness of this beautiful animal.

The horse, symbol of nobility, has already inspired decoration pieces or even collections. That is the case with Equus, a collection inspired in Excalibur, Francisco Simó’s (Soher’s manager) dressage horse.

Now the horse riding fans can commemorate Ascot meeting with one of these bronze decoration pieces which captures the horse’s impressive body features from different perspectives, as well as their demeanour, their vivacity and their graceful movements.
